  • The Junior Financial Strategy & Planning Consultant plays a key supporting role in the financial planning and analysis process of our clients. In this role, you are primarily responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data to assist our clients in preparing budgets, forecasts, and performance reports. You will be involved in ensuring financial data accuracy, supporting the creation of financial models, and providing basic recommendations based on data analysis.

  • You will play a crucial role in providing the foundation for effective financial planning and business strategy of our clients. Your key responsibilities include:

    • Assistance in the development and management of clients’ budgets and forecasts

      • Collect data from various sources to support budget preparation

      • Input and maintain budget figures in financial systems

      • Track budget performance and highlight significant variances for review

    • Financial data analysis to evaluate business performance

      • Perform simple variance analysis to compare planned vs. actual figures

      • Assist in preparing visualizations (e.g., charts, graphs) to present financial trends

      • Provide preliminary insights on cost drivers and opportunities for cost savings

    • Preparation and maintenance of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders

      • Compile and organize data for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual operational and financial reports

      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in financial databases

      • Assist in preparing basic sections of financial reports in partnership with clients’ finance teams

    • Support the financial strategy team by conducting basic analysis and providing data-driven insights

      • Help identify patterns in financial data that impact business strategy

      • Summarize findings from financial data for use in decision-making discussions

      • Contribute to smaller, focused projects that require basic financial modeling

    • Collaborate with client’s cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure alignment with business goals

      • Work closely with other departments to collect necessary financial data

      • Support communication of financial insights to non-financial stakeholders

      • Coordinate with operational teams to ensure financial data is timely and accurate

  • Education/Certifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred

    • CMA or CGMA certifications preferred

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

    • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and report preparation

    • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Power BI)

    • Knowledge of tools such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Dynamics, QuickBooks, Tableau preferred

    • Knowledge of following standards and concepts preferred: US GAAP, IFRS, Integrated Reporting, Risk Management
