  • The Senior Financial Strategy & Planning Consultant is a key leader within our clients’ organization, responsible for developing and executing high-level financial strategies that align with overall business goals. This role involves overseeing the financial planning and analysis processes, providing expert-level advice to senior executives, and ensuring financial strategies are integrated into business operations. This consultant will also mentor junior consultants working for our clients, drive performance improvement initiatives, and support our clients’ strategic decision-making discussions with their internal stakeholders.

  • Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Strategy & Planning Consultant will include, but are not limited to:

    • Lead the development and execution of long-term financial strategies within our clients’ organizations

      • Define strategic financial objectives and ensure alignment with organizational goals

      • Develop comprehensive financial models and plans for sustainable growth and profitability

      • Oversee the execution of long-term financial strategies, ensuring they meet client’s organization targets

      • Lead high-level financial planning sessions with client’s executive leadership

      • Identify and implement new opportunities for financial growth and efficiency improvements

    • Manage enterprise-level financial planning and performance evaluation processes

      • Lead and manage the financial planning process, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial projections

      • Monitor financial performance at client’s enterprise level, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives

      • Oversee the development of financial performance reports and presentations for senior executives

      • Develop and maintain complex forecasting models to predict financial performance under various scenarios

      • Analyze trends and make recommendations to improve profitability, reduce costs, and optimize resource allocation

    • Provide strategic financial guidance to clients’ senior leadership

      • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing financial insights for key business decisions

      • Guide executives on major financial decisions, capital investments, and cost management

      • Lead financial reviews of business performance with senior leadership, identifying key financial challenges and opportunities

      • Advise on business strategy with a focus on improving financial outcomes and achieving business goals

    • Drive the implementation of financial performance measurement systems (KPIs)

      • Design and implement comprehensive performance measurement systems to track the success of financial strategies

      • Ensure KPIs are relevant, measurable, and aligned with our clients’ organizational goals

      • Collaborate with client cross-functional teams to integrate KPIs into business operations and processes

      • Monitor financial performance against KPIs and recommend adjustments as necessary

      • Provide in-depth reports and presentations on KPIs and business performance to executive leadership

    • Lead complex financial modeling and risk management initiatives

      • Develop and implement complex financial models to assess business opportunities, risks, and the impact of major decisions

      • Identify financial risks (e.g., market, credit, operational) and develop strategies to mitigate them

      • Conduct stress testing and sensitivity analysis to assess the potential impact of different business scenarios

      • Collaborate with risk management teams to integrate financial risk assessments into strategic business decisions

    • Mentor and provide leadership to junior and mid-level consultants

      • Provide mentorship and coaching to junior consultants, helping them develop financial strategy skills and support our clients

      • Lead the work of the financial strategy team provided to our clients, ensuring quality, accuracy, and alignment with business objective

      • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

  • Education/Certifications

    •  MBA or Master Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred

    • CMA, CGMA or CPA certifications preferred

    • CSCA certification preferred

    Skills

    • Expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling

    • Strong leadership and team management skills

    • Proactive and problem-solving mindset

    • Excellent communication skills for presenting to and influencing C Suite Executives

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Power BI) required

    • Advanced knowledge of tools such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Dynamics, QuickBooks, Tableau preferred

    • Advanced knowledge of following standards and concepts preferred: US GAAP, IFRS, Integrated Reporting, Risk Management, Strategic Management
